Step 7- Clauses **With clauses I utilize highlighters. I make them make a key if everyone doesn’t have the same colors. They have to highlight the clauses. This makes it easier to determine sentence types and to grade. You may choose to highlight all dependent clauses the same color use a new color for each type like below. Ex. IC Adv. ALL skills are building upon one another. You will still continue to identify previous steps as you progress. Eventually you will be labeling all parts of the sentence. Students should use the SAM sheet for reference.
Students should keep the workbook pages and simply add to the pages in their binder. Some skills/weeks we may revisit previous pages and identify on previous pages. For example. May revisit the LV page fr additional practice identifying PN/PA.
Utilize previous pages for extra practice on skills as you progress through the steps.
